Future box or Fusion box – what is the difference?
Both splice boxes are made by DIAMOND (Swiss precision) and designed for 19″ rack installation. The Future box (1U or 2U) is pull-out: the complete drawer glides forward on telescopic rails, keeping splice trays and excess fibre accessible while installed – ideal for racks where splicing or expansion continues after day one. The Fusion box (2U) is the fixed variant for classic permanent installation: maximally robust when the link is terminated once and then left untouched.
Why E-2000?
The E-2000 connector is regarded as the reference for demanding fibre infrastructure: it achieves insertion losses of ≤ 0.1 dB and features a spring-loaded protective shutter that automatically shields the ferrule – and your eyes – from dust and laser light, both when plugging and unplugging. Combined with push-pull locking and high packing density, E-2000 is the first choice for carrier, data-centre and campus networks where every mating cycle counts.

Do I get a real part number for my configuration?
Yes. The configurator shows the matching part number from our range for every combination. Via “Request this configuration” we will send you a binding quote including delivery time.
When should I choose the pull-out Future box?
Whenever work continues after the initial installation: re-splicing, re-patching, expansions. The drawer keeps trays and excess fibre accessible without removing the box from the rack. For links terminated once, the Fusion box is sufficient.
APC or UPC – which polish is right?
APC (angled polish, green) offers the best return loss and is the standard in FTTH and carrier networks. UPC/PC (blue) is common in data centres and LAN environments. The configurator colours the adapters accordingly.
