What DIAMOND Wall Distribution Modules Are
Wall distribution modules are compact fibre distribution housings designed for DIN 35 mm top hat rail mounting — not 19″/U rack format. They sit alongside switches, power supplies and I/O modules in standard switching cabinets, and serve fibre counts from 4 to 24 per module.
Each module combines an anodised aluminium housing, an internal split between splice storage and patch panel area, and the DIAMOND E-2000® CompactRJ connector system. The result: a clean, serviceable fibre node that integrates into existing cabinet architecture.
The Three Variants
DIAMOND offers the wall distribution module in three coordinated form factors — chosen by coupling count, fibre capacity and mounting orientation.

The 24-port variant is the absolute maximum capacity per module. For higher fibre counts you place multiple modules side by side on the DIN rail or switch to rack-based solutions like the Future Box.
Connector Configurations
All variants use the DIAMOND E-2000® CompactRJ coupling system in the standard colour coding for unambiguous identification in mixed cabinets:
- Singlemode APC — green frame, green coding plate (8° polish, lowest return-loss-relevant geometry)
- Singlemode PC — blue frame, blue coding plate
- Multimode OM3 — beige frame, black coding plate
- Multimode OM4 — beige/erica-violet, erica-violet coding plate
- Multimode 62.5 μm — beige frame, beige coding plate
An IP65-protected variant of the E-2000® coupling is available on request — relevant for outdoor cabinets and dust-laden industrial environments.
Quality Assurance: 100% Inspection per Module
Every wall distribution module is fully measured after fit-out — not sample inspection. The test certificate documents for each pigtail: connector end face (visual and interferometric), tilt angle (≤ 0.4°), concentricity (≤ 0.25 μm) and final inspection mark. Each certificate is accessible via QR code on the module or through shop.diamond.de.
This traceability is particularly relevant for public-sector tenders and regulated industries — railway, energy, healthcare and telecommunications operators routinely require per-pigtail documentation.
Order Number System
DIAMOND uses a modular order number that encodes all configuration parameters:
G8V — R — FV 0 — XX — YY — ZZ
- R (Variant): 1 = Standard · 3 = Side-mounted · 5 = 24 Ports
- XX (Coupling count): 01–12 — partial fit-outs supported
- YY (Pigtail count): 01–24 — partial fit-outs supported
- ZZ (Connector geometry): 01 SM PC · 02 SM APC · 03 MM 50 · 04 MM 62.5 · 05 MM 50 OM3 · 07 MM 50 OM4

Following the DIAMOND press release of 27 April 2026, Fiber Products GmbH is the central supplier for DIAMOND’s 19″ enclosure technology and wall distribution modules. DIAMOND retains the entire connector and component range in its own manufacturing in Losone, while Fiber Products handles the DACH supply chain.
