DIAMOND Compact Modules & Front Modules (7TE)
Pull-out 7TE inserts for the DIAMOND 4U Carrier System and compatible Fiber Products chassis. Scalable, modular fibre distribution — up to 12 modules per 4U carrier, populated with E-2000® APC and CompactRJ couplings. Deploy as needed, expand over time.
What Compact Modules Are
Compact Modules are 7TE slide-in inserts that snap into a 4U chassis. The chassis provides power-free mechanical mounting; each module brings its own fibre management, splicing area and connector population. The 7TE format is DIAMOND’s standardised slot size, allowing different module types to coexist in the same chassis.
The key benefit is staged rollout: you can populate a 4U carrier with a single module on day one and add modules over years as fibre demand grows — without disturbing the existing infrastructure.

Connector System
All Compact Modules use the DIAMOND E-2000® system in the standard colour coding:
- Singlemode APC (green) — backbone-grade, low return loss
- Singlemode PC (blue) — legacy compatibility
- Multimode (OM3, OM4, 62.5 μm) — in-building and campus
Active Core Alignment (ACA) technology delivers typical insertion loss ≤ 0.1 dB per coupling. IP65-protected variants available on request.
Quality Assurance
Each module ships with individual pigtail measurement and per-pigtail test certificate (end-face, tilt angle ≤ 0.4°, concentricity ≤ 0.25 μm, final inspection mark). Accessible via QR code or shop.diamond.de.

Following the DIAMOND press release of 27 April 2026, Fiber Products GmbH is the central supplier for the DIAMOND 19″ enclosure technology including Compact Modules and the carrier system. DIAMOND continues to manufacture all connector components in Losone; Fiber Products handles DACH supply and configuration.
